Shabnam Mashmasarmi, Esq.
Shabnam is the founder of Empire Injury Advocates, PLLC, a New York-based personal injury firm dedicated to fighting for injury victims and making sure they receive the justice and compensation they deserve. As a fierce advocate for those harmed by negligence, Shabnam is committed to providing client-centered representation with a focus on compassion, transparency, and results. She understands that an injury can turn a person’s life upside down, and she works hard to hold insurance companies and negligent parties accountable.
With a strong passion for advocacy, Shabnam makes sure her clients are not just cases—they are people with stories, struggles, and futures worth protecting. She takes pride in helping injured victims move through the legal system with confidence, giving them the guidance and support they need.
Beyond personal injury, Shabnam has built a broad career in business formation, estate planning, and real estate law. As a Foreclosure Commissioner for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, she plays an important role in making sure foreclosure proceedings follow federal guidelines.
Shabnam is also the Broker of Record and Chief Operating Officer of OnyxGroup, a real estate development and brokerage firm she co-founded to expand access to homeownership and real estate opportunities in underrepresented communities. OnyxGroup made history as the first MWBE developer to build in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Originally from Brockton, Massachusetts, Shabnam’s journey has taken her to New York, a place that helped shape her professional path and entrepreneurial vision. Inspired by its fast-paced environment, she launched Empire Injury Advocates to serve the people of New York with integrity, dedication, and a relentless commitment to justice.
Shabnam is a graduate of Boston College and Suffolk University Law School and holds a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.
She is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts, Florida, and the United States District Court of Massachusetts.
Jahangir “Jay” Zaheer

Jay began his legal career as a litigation paralegal for top personal injury firms in New York before relocating to Massachusetts, where he served as litigation manager at one of Boston’s top 100 law firms. He was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts at both the state and federal level and has since delivered trusted legal advocacy for a diverse client base.
Landlord-Tenant and Tenant-Landlord cases are also one of our specialties.
With a multicultural background and a practical understanding of the legal system, Jay is committed to fighting for those impacted by injury or negligence. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and frequently speaks at educational events for first-time homebuyers through organizations like CHAPA and Medford Community Housing.
Jay’s approachable style, strategic insight, and legal depth make him a steady advocate for individuals moving through complex legal challenges and seeking meaningful results.
